Abstract
In this report, we present a case of a 28-year-old woman who developed a giant breast mass with rapid growth over a period of five months, reaching a size of 15 x 20 cm and occupying most of the left breast. Cytological examination revealed no malignancy, while core needle biopsy yielded inconclusive results, making it difficult to differentiate between a fibroepithelial tumor and a malignant mesenchymal lesion. Definitive diagnosis was established through histopathological examination of an open biopsy specimen, which confirmed fibrosarcoma based on histology and immunohisto-chemistry. A MDT supports that surgical excision remains the preferred treatment approach despite various challenges, with wide local excision of the breast mass aiming to achieve negative margins. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy may be considered in cases of high-risk sarcoma.
