Abstract
Background: Congenital heart disease is a serious disease in children, high risk of death. Surgical treatment is a good method. After surgery the patient should be re-examined periodically to get the best effect, reduce complications caused by surgical method. Purpose: Assess the observance of the time re-examination of patients after surgery, determine the causes for the patient are re-examination is later than the regulations. Method: Prospective. Conducte interviews with 100 first parents of patients go to the re- examination at the cardiovascular center of Hue Central Hospital
Results: The rate on time 54%, the rate of late 46%, less than 1 week late 14%, from first week to second week late 10% and later than 2 weeks 22%. The re-examination late because busy parents 58,7%. frequently re-examination late 19.6%. The rate of patients discontinue treatment when without re-examination 39.2%. Conclusion: There is a large percentage of patients after congenital heart surgery re- examined later than requested. To have a high rate of patients that discontinue treatment when without re-examination.
