Abstract

Nowadays, the rate of people with cardiovascular disease in need of being operated has been growing. Most patients not only want to get well but also want to be cared about psychology. There are many factors which affect patients' mentality during their treatment such as: patients' personal factors, treating environment, medical staff... Researching the topic: "Studying some factors affecting patients' mentality before and after operating route", we found that these factors more or less affect patients' mentality. About patients' personal factors: the anxiety rate of women is higher than that of men, especially the anxiety of hurt which is 2.77 times among women as high as that among men, people who are farmers and without medical insurance are more anxious about finance than others. About treating environment: the more satisfied about hospitals patients are, the lower the rate of anxiety is. Gentle and careful nursing activities and attitudes conducted by medical staff also help lower the anxiety (23.2% of patients were consulted and well-prepared before surgeries; 31.7% were both physically and mentally cared; 47.6 % found medical staff gentle and considerate). From these results, we can give out some appropriate solutions to minimize the negative effects of the above factors on patients' mentality.
