Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic had severe impact with high infection rate and mortality all around the world, including Vietnam. There are many Covid-19 studies with data on features, mortality, risk factors, complications, prognosis and post Covid-19 syndromes. However, there are less comprehensive studies in Vietnam in order to have an incisive and comprehensive look of the pandemic. For this reason, we conduct this study to identify clinical, subclinical features and treatments of Covid-19 with complications such as respiratory failure, shock or death...
Objectives: This study aimed to assess the clinical, paraclinical features, complications and treatment of patients having Covid-19 at Geriatrics and Palliative care Department in University Medical Center at Ho Chi Minh city.

Results: The study conducted on 296 patients with diagnosis of Covid-19 having high prevalence of cough, fever, dyspnea. The most common comorbidities were hypertension, diabetes and ischemic heart disease. About paraclinical characteristics, all Covid-19 inflammation indexes were high and most of chest X-ray showed abnormal manifestation. About treatment, the use of oxygen canula were highest in forms of oxygen delivery method. Remdesivir use were highest. More than 50% population of this study took anti - inflammation drugs and anticoagulants. ARDS and renal failure were the highest complications.
