EVALUATION THE NURSING CARE RESULTS OF PATIENT WITH FACIAL SOFT TISSUE TRAUMA IN HUE CENTRAL HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objectives: To identify the clinical features and evaluate the nursing care results of patient with facial soft tissue trauma in Hue Central Hospital.

Materials and methods: A descriptive progressive study was conducted on 596 patients with facial soft tissue trauma in Odonto Stomatology Center, Hue Central Hospital from October 2018 to October 2019.

Results: A total 596 patients were analyzed, of which 367 males (61,6%) and 229 females (38,4%). The traffic accidents were the most frequent causes of facial soft tissue trauma (82,6%). Frequent clinical symptoms were bleeding (75%), swelling (72,5%), face deformation (52,3%), and pain (37,8%). The hospital stay was 4-7 days (55,2%). Skin tear wounds were qecounted for a high proportion in facial soft tissue trauma (44,1%). Patients who received antibiotics before hospitalization, early admission, management of trauma, proper patient care method had shorter period for treatment (p<0,05). Treatment results after 3 months showed that good: 99,1% and fairly good: 0,9%.

Conclusion: Facial soft tissue trauma needs to be treated early with management of trauma, proper nursing care to shorten time of treatment.
