Abstract
Background: Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers today. Identifying clinical and pathological features of skin cancer helps to early diagnose and properly treat for patients.
Methods: Cross - sectional study, 44 skin cancer patients visiting Hue Central Hospital and Hue University Hospital from May 2020 to April 2021 participated in the study.
Results: The rates of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma were equal (43.2%), the rate of melanoma was lower (13.6%); 90.9% lesions had invated to the conjuntion membrane on pathology; Nodular basal cell carcinoma is the most common subtypes (78.9%); Well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma was accounted for 73.7%. There were the relationships between the types of skin cancer and lesions, size of lesion, number of lesions and peripheral lymph nodes in clinical (p<0.05).
Conclusion: Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma were accounted for a higher rate than melanoma, almost lesions have crossed the conjuntion membrane on pathology. There were some relationships between types of skin cancer and some clinical manifestations.
