Abstract
Mesenchymal hamartoma of the chest wall is a very rare lesion. The tumor arises from the ribs, cartilage or soft tissue of the chest wall. Tumors are commonly diagnosed in newborns and infants, can be detected and develop in the fetus. Diagnosis chest wall mesenchymal hamartoma by histopathology. Mesenchymal hamartoma of the chest wall is a benign tumor that is likely to regress over time. Tumor growing into the thoracic cavity can cause respiratory infection, dyspnea, fetal pulmonary hypoplasia... Other cases areasymptomatic thoracic mass that discovered incidentally. Previously, management of thoracic mesenchymal hamartoma was resection however numerous evidence suggest that conservation and monitoring are the best options unless the tumor is causing problems or symptoms in infant.
