Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the needs of breast cancer patients after surgery and find out some factors related to general and pathological characteristics with the needs of breast cancer patients after surgery.
Method: Cross - sectional study of 221 breast cancer patients after surgery.
Results: Over 50 years old group is highest (51,1%), stage II account for a large percentage (61,1%). The proportion of patients who need medical information is 90%, the need for psychological care is 84.2%, nursing care needs is 71.5%. There are the statistically significant difference between the level of education and the psychological and nursing care needs, nursing care needs and duration of breast cancer was statistically significant.
Conclusion: The needs of people with breast cancer are very high so it is important to focus on the needs of the patients.
