Abstract
Acute colonic pseudoobstruction (ACPO) is an uncommon acquired disorder characterized by abnormal dilation of the colon without any underlying mechanical or pathophysiological obstruction. It is most common in older adults with multiple comorbidities but can also develop in otherwise healthy patients after trauma or surgery. The exact pathogenesis remains to be elucidated, but current evidence suggests that alterations in the autonomic nervous system lead to colonic atony and pseudo-obstruction. We report a clinical case diagnosed with Ogylvie syndrome and underwent colectomy. Through this we want to learn about the diagnosis and treatment of this syndrome.Nội dung dành cho thành viên
