Abstract
Objectives: To determine the characteristics of anemia in cyclic dialysis patients in patients with chronic renal failure, to evaluate the efficacy of EPO in the treatment of anemia in patients with chronic renal failure.
Material and methods: 500 dialysis patients, cyclical dialysis at Bach Mai Hospital in 2014; emergency medical research. Determination of anemia characteristics through evaluation of total blood cell assay combined with morphological assessment on Giemsa staining.
Results: 81.4% of patients had anemia; mild anemia was 54.2%, mainly anemic patients with normal RBC; 27.2% of patients with normal HCV-iron deficiency anemia; HGB averaged 102.94+20.55 g/l (male: 107.61±20.63 g/l, female: 98.35±19.44 g/l). Average RBC was 3.39±0.66 T/I (Male was 3.54±0.66 and female was 3.23±0.62 T/l) HCT average was 1.61±6.16% (the male was 32.84±6.14%, the female was 30.40±5.94%)
Conclusion: Patients with chronic renal insufficiency, renal cycles with high rates of anemia, predominantly moderate anemia, medium-sized RBCs; treatment by rHu-EPO reduced anemia for patients.
