Abstract
Background: Recent studies have supported three-dimensional (3D) laparoscopy has the advantages
and characteristics of more radical procedures in the treatment of gastric cancer. The objective of this study
was to investigate the short-term efficacy and safety of 3D laparoscopic gastrectomy in the treatment of
gastric cancer.
Materials and Methods: Prospective study, herein, we analyzed the clinical data from 22 consecutive
patients with gastric cancer who received totally laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (18 patients), total
gastrectomy (4 patients) and lymphadenectomy in Hue Central Hospital from March of 2018 to June of
2019. The effects on operative time, bleeding, hospitalization time, complications were analyzed.
Results: Totally 3D laparoscopic gastrectomy was successfully carried out in 22 patients. In the group of
distal gastrectomy (18 cases), the mean operation time was 173.322.7 mins, the intraoperative blood loss
was 76.424.3 ml. In the group of total gastrectomy (4 cases), the mean operation time was 195.850.4
mins, the intraoperative blood loss was 97.632.7 ml. Postoperative, all patients were less pain, faster
recovery and early discharge. There is 01 case of duodenal stump fistula after operation and was treated
by re-operation
Conclusions: 3D laparoscopic gastrectomy is safe and feasible.
Key words: Laparoscopic gastrectomy, D2 lymphadenectomy,…
