Abstract

Purposes: The aim of this study was to collect the change of blood pressure after dropping sublingual Adalat. Methods: A describing study in 32 hypertensive patients in Emergency and Interventional Department from February to May 2012. All of the patients in this study was sublingually taken 2-3 drops of Adalat in hypertensive crisis. They all were monitored by recording blood pressure at first 3 minute and every 5 minute later. Results: Blood pressure had gradually fallen after using subingual Adalat till 30 minutes and remained stable. There was a statistically significant relationship between wariables of blood pressure, gender, age and ongoing diseases. Conclusions: Sublingual Adalat should be used as a first drug for hypertensive crisis
