Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the parts of Framingham score in the patients with coronary diseases and find out the relation between Framingham score with the degrees of coronary arterial damage.
Subjects: The patients with coronary diseases (MI or ischemic myocardopathy) treated in Hue Central Hospital from June 2011 to June 2012 (coronary angiography result: stenose > 50% at least an artery).
Method: Cross-sectional study.
Results: Smoking 6.6%; hypertension 45.9%; diabetes 19%; decreased HDL-C 49.18%; increased Cholesterol 55.74%; increased LDL-C 47.54%. There was a closed relation between Framingham score with Gensini index (r = 0.8744; p < 0.01; sensitivity 83.61%, specificity 83.33%).
Conclusion: Framingham score plays an important role in coronary disease patients and has a closed relation with Gensini index
