Abstract
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a subfamily of the Herpesvirus. CMV is a ubiquitous virus, the seropositivity of it in the population rangle from 40 to >90%: 0.5-2.5% in the newborn, 15% in the young people, 50% in the adult. The symptoms aren't clear up, but CMV in quickly cause problems and can be severe or fatal after kidney transplantation.
In January 2014, there was a female patient with the end stage kidney dysfuntion. After renal transplant, acute rejection were present and then CMV pneumonia. This patient was treated and we achieved good results. This is the first case of CMV infection that we have met at Hue Central Hospital.
