Abstract
Open reduction and internal fixation with volar plating of distal radius fracture are becoming gradually popular from the provincial to center hospital, but there are very few reports of complications ofvolar plating of distal radius fractures. Extensor tendon injuries are a rare complication of volar plating. Currently, rare medical reports documented multiple injuries of extensor tendons after volar plating of distal radius fractures.Until now, at Hue Central Hospital, there has been no report on extensor tendons damage followed by volar plating of distal radius fractures. In this report, we illustrate a case of injuries extensor pollicis longus, index finger extensor, and extensor digiti minimi tendon that underwent fixation with volar plating of distal radius fracture 2 years ago
