Abstract
Patients' files are numerous and of importance among the medical documents stored at the hospital. The Ministry of Health has had the principle of storing patients' files following the Regulation by the Decision No 1895/1997/BYT-QD on 19/9/1997. Patients' files are the important documents of the health care sector so they must be kept carefully, preserved and stored legally.
Patients' files (internal, external and death) are the documents, in which the doctor writes all necessary for the state of the patient from the beginning to the end of his hospital stay and for the details of the diseases, diagnostis, treatment and care.
Managing and storing patients' files are important. When the work is well-done, it has shown the science, legality and resposibility of the medical worker to patients, finance and benefits. Managing patients' files is good, which means preserving the important medical documents under the law. Therefore, this is a necessary job of a medical worker. In order to do the work well, it is necessary to follow a rationable regulation, a good instruction and a concentration of every department and every unit in the hospital.
