Abstract
Objective: To describe the state of care for hypertension patient at Da Nang C Hospital, 2011.
Results: - Current status of elderly patients with hypertension and takes care solution was moderate: 87.8% of the patients have to know your blood pressure index, 93.5% of patients used antihypertensive drugs daily and 89.9% of hypertensive patients are guided to use hypertension treatment according to medical command physician. About 70% of patients advice on diet, exercise, avoiding stress, and preventing complications of hypertension of 139 patients were interviewed.
- A number of hypertensive patients should be cared for and be held resolution is high: 90% of patients taking drugs that lower blood pressure is needed daily, 80% of patients suggest that bed rest is when hypertension is required, only 60% of patients said that nurses have the necessary role in the care of patients with hypertension, 90% of patients said that they have symptoms dizziness, vertigo, headache nursing work needed to check blood pressure.
Proposal: Nurses and physicians directly care for patients with hypertension need for patient education and knowledge related to hypertension.
