Abstract
Objective: This study aims to provide evidence regarding the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture (one of acupuncture therapies) for neck pain caused by cervical spondylosis.
Methods: This research work was a controlled, parellel group comparison trial with randomization for comparison of efficacies of abdominal acupuncture and conventional acupuncture in treatment of neck pain caused by cervical spondylosis.
Results: After 1 week from baseline, improvements of total three outcomes VAS, NPQ, SF-36 were greater in abdominal acupuncture group than conventional acupuncture group. After 2 weeks from baseline, improvements were parallel in both groups.
Conclusions: Abdominal acupuncture was effective faster and could be substituted conventional acupuncture in treatment for neck pain caused by cervical spondylosis.
